Brew at Home with the CHEMEX
The Chemex gives you the coffee you love without needing the skills of your local barista. How?
The brewing process removes the bitter taste often associated with coffee; It’s a simple and clean way of brewing and avoids the “extra flavor” of the water mineral deposits in your coffee machine; and Since the Chemex doesn’t sit on a burner, there is no burnt flavor to worry about. To help get you going on coffee made by you, we’re taking 10% OFF our 8 Cup Chemex Coffee Maker through the month of April!
Let’s get started.

The Method.
- Open the filter and put in the Chemex with three sheets covering the spout.
- Pour hot water to wet the filter and then discard the water.
- Add your coffee.
- First pour: apply roughly 50 grams of water in a circular motion until the grounds are fully wet.
- Allow the coffee to bloom (about 30-45 seconds).
- Second pour: Add roughly 200 more grams of water in a circular motion.
- Let the coffee drip all the way through.
