One of the first women to own a plantation in Costa Rica, Luz Marina Trujillo’s passion for delicious flavors overflows into every cup of her crisp, clean, and sweetly elegant coffee.
Story of the Bean
Growing up in a family of coffee growers, Luz Marina Trujillo fondly recalls a childhood filled with more coffee beans than dolls. As a fair trade partner with Daily Rise since 2009, she stands out as one of the premier coffee producers in Costa Rica's Tarrazu region, renowned for its crisp, clean, and bright coffee.
Not only is Luz Marina one of the first women to own a coffee farm, Santa Elena, but she is also an innovator in the pulped natural process, infusing flavors of cotton candy and butterscotch into her coffee. Her dedication ensures that Santa Elena's coffee maintains the signature Tarrazu taste, complemented by a slightly syrupy texture and a refined, sweet finish.
Luz Marina Trujillo remains at the forefront of exploring innovative methods to extract every conceivable flavor from the coffee beans. Her zeal resonates with ours, and we are delighted to present this exquisite single-origin coffee.
