Fazendas Dutra Tatu – Organic Brazil
Matas de Minas | 1,400 MASL | Natural Process
Rooted in family tradition since the 1950s, Fazendas Dutra represents three generations of dedication to exceptional coffee. What began as a single hectare under José “Zeca” Dutra has grown into a renowned organic estate in the mountainous region of Matas de Minas. Today, the Dutra family combines deep agronomic knowledge, artisanal processing, and sustainable farming practices to produce coffees consistently recognized among Brazil’s finest.
Shade-grown alongside avocado and African mahogany and cultivated in harmony with forests, rocks, and waterfalls, this coffee reflects a commitment to both quality and environmental stewardship.
In the cup:
Roasted to a developed medium/dark, this natural-process Brazil delivers a rich, comforting profile with notes of milk chocolate, toasted hazelnut, and caramelized sugar, layered with subtle dried cherry sweetness and a smooth, round body. The finish is balanced and clean with a mellow cocoa warmth that lingers.
Approachable yet complex, this is a beautifully structured Brazil that shines as a daily brew or a dependable espresso — depth, sweetness, and positive energy in every cup.
